My strongest motivation to pen dosen this book are my Students. Economics is one of the most logical, captivating and engaging subject. Yet, this very word. Le. “Economics” evtikes frat, confusion, chaos, stress and even repulsión amongst many students. But, the question is, why so much of fear?

Perhaps, the answer is not dificult to decipher. During my interaction with students, I have observed that if the basics are not taugla or explained properly, students slowly start daconnecting with the rab ject. This translates into fear and repulsion overtime. Secondly, even when the basics are in place, but if the art of connecting theory with practical is not cultivated, along with the inability to apply the theo retical knowledge in real life scenarios, it further leads to dissatisfaction and detachment with the sub ject. Thirdly, as they say, “the difference between wisdom and knowledge is but simplicity”. The best of knowledge if presented in a complex and chaotic manner would simply kill your interest in the subject. So, knowledge mast be passed on in simple, easy to grasp and comprehend manner,

While writing this book, I have focused upon some vital aspects of learning. First is simplicity have tried to present technical analysis, economic terms and concepts in an understandable and cary to grasp manner. Wherever possible, I have used graphs, tables (facts) and case studies to simplify the analysis for you all.

Second aspect is the interlinkages. There are strong interlinkages amongst topics, between different

subjects like economic and environment, economics and agricultore etc. To take care of that, I have given additional chapters like environment, international institutions and bodies, Indices and reports etc. Third, is the coverage.
